About the Conference

Edge Artificial Intelligence (Edge AI) is the future of Artificial Intelligence. What it simply means is in Edge AI, the AI algorithms are processed at the local level i.e., Edge AI takes and processed the data to the nearest point of user interaction whether it be a computer or an Edge server, or any other device.

Spatial computing is the digitization of the physical world to form a digitally represented real world in which humans can interact with machines, people, objects, and environments. Thus, spatial computing is the next step in the ongoing convergence of the physical and digital worlds.

Metaverse is a new digital revolution that combines physical and digital space to form an immersive and augmented metaverse space. Metaverse has the potential to become a multi-trillion-dollar part of the world economy.

We will explore the potential synergetic integration of Edge AI, spatial computing, and metaverse in this event.

Subject matter experts will discuss:

What are the drivers of edge computing and edge AI?

How edge AI can be integrated with IoT, blockchain, and 5G?

Which is the best Industry-wide edge AI use case?

What is spatial computing?

How spatial computing can be integrated with extended reality?

How edge AI is related to spatial computing?

How edge AI-based spatial computing can support metaverse applications?

Moderator and co-organizer: Alex G.Lee PhD

Angelo Corsaro, Ph.D.

Angelo is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at ZettaScale Technology.  At ZettaScale he is working with a world-class team to change the landscape of distributed computing -- working hard to bring to every connected human and machine the unconstrained freedom to communicate, compute and store — anywhere, at any scale, efficiently and securely.  Angelo is a world top expert in edge/fog computing and a well-known researcher in the area of high performance and large scale distributed systems. Angelo has over 100 publications on referred journals, conferences, workshops, and magazines. Angelo has co-authored over ten international standards.

Specialities: Fog/Edge Computing, Industrial and Consumer Internet of Things, Innovation and Innovation Management, Product Strategy, Open Source, High-Performance Computing, Large Scale Mission/Business Critical Distributed Systems, Real-Time Systems, Software Patterns, Functional Programming Languages

ZettaScale's mission is to bring to every connected human and machine the unconstrained freedom to communicate, compute and store — anywhere, at any scale, efficiently and securely.

Caseysimone Ballestas

Caseysimone holds a BA in Architecture and Social Psychology. Is a Researcher at the TU Delft (Technical University of Delft). Her work focuses on the creation and usage of frameworks for the design, development, and implementation of Spatial Computing (including VR, AR, MR, and AmI). Her expertise is in the implementation of ambient intelligence (AmI) in complex stakeholder landscapes.

Delft University of Technology (Dutch: Technische Universiteit Delft), also known as TU Delft, is the oldest and largest Dutch public technical university, located in Delft, Netherlands. As of 2022, it is ranked by QS World University Rankings among the top 10 engineering and technology universities in the world.

Sam Fuller

Sam is the  Sr. Director of Product Management at Flex Logix Technologies. He has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in computer architecture, networking technology, embedded software and edge AI and IoT processing architectures. Mr. Fuller holds BSEE and MSEE degrees from Brigham Young University and an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Flex Logix is a reconfigurable computing company providing AI inference and eFPGA solutions based on software, systems and silicon. Its InferX X1 is the industry’s most efficient AI edge inference accelerator that will bring AI to the masses in high-volume applications by providing much higher inference throughput per dollar and per watt. Flex Logix’s eFPGA platform enables chips to flexibly handle changing protocols, standards, algorithms, and customer needs and to implement reconfigurable accelerators that speed key workloads 30-100x compared to processors. Flex Logix is headquartered in Mountain View, California and also has offices in Austin, Texas and Vancouver, Canada.
