About the Conference

Research has found that VR can reduce staff training time by up to 60%, which means that VR could help cultivate a more productive workplace culture.  Who is implementing what?  Is the Metaverse "good" or "bad"? Brendon McNaughton

Brendon McNaughton is the co-founder and CEO of Art Gate VR and an internationally recognized contemporary artist. As the CEO of Art Gate he is leading a team of bright developers and innovators to develop an art district in the Metaverse. As an artist, he is known for making large-scale bronze, marble, and aluminium sculptures and exhibiting them all over the world. McNaughton views creating parts of the Metaverse as the ultimate artwork.

The mission at Art Gate is to make the arts more accessible. They are creating a more accessible and understanding world by building an art district in the Metaverse that everyone can access. The Art Gate district provides connection to art and people, regardless of physical location in the world. Together, the community is laying the foundation for a cultural centre that will grow beyond the cultural epicentres of previous days. Duncan Roberts 

Duncan is a manager in Cognizant's Center for the Future of Work. In 2015, he started to develop applications for emerging new Virtual and Augmented Reality hardware, leading to working directly with large companies on experiences for their launches. He has also advised small startups on using Blockchain solutions for advertising within VR and AR.  Duncan brings his passion for technology and experience in the industry to research the impacts of virtual space on the workplace and has published reports on the future of manufacturing and the regulation of Artificial Intelligence technologies.
